As a United Church of Christ congregation we celebrate two sacraments; Baptism and Holy Communion.
Jesus himself was baptized by the prophet John in the River Jordan; thus beginning his adult ministry. And then, at the conclusion of that ministry, he shared a “Last Supper” with his disciples. He gave clear instructions to them that they should continue to baptize in His name and commune in His memory.
We have several other important services in our church; weddings, confirmations, ordinations and funerals among them, but only two sacraments. Baptism is offered to all children whose families are members of St. John’s. Our communion celebrations are open to all who profess Jesus as Lord and Savior.
