This is St. John’s second year of involvement in the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoebox Appeal.

The Christmas Shoebox Appeal has been a part of the Samaritan’s Purse ministry for many years. The idea behind the appeal is to pack a shoebox with age-appropriate toys & gifts for either a girl or a boy. The boxes are usually packed and then consecrated in church in November. This year’s Consecration Sunday is November 22nd! They are then take to a distribution point & then shipped all over the world in order to reach needy children by Christmas.

In 2014, St. John’s packed 36 shoeboxes! Thank you St. John’s for your kindness & generosity in sharing the love of Jesus Christ in a very tangible way that will bring joy & the Gospel message of Jesus Christ world-wide.

Last year, we set a goal to pack 50 boxes in 2015. To date, we have exceeded that having distributed 100 boxes to pack!!
