Rev. Chris Barnett
Minister of Pastoral Care
An ordained American Baptist minister, Chris is married to his college sweetheart, and they have three grown children and one granddaughter. His ministry experience includes chaplaincy with Children’s Hospital, hospice and bereavement care, and non-profit senior management. His wife June, is a therapist at Holly Hill Children’s Home. Chris holds a BA from Georgetown college from which he received the Weller Award, an MA from Southern Seminary, and four units of CPE from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Chris defines his approach to pastoral care as “coming alongside people where they are- through listening and presence- to be a minister of comfort, hope, and meaning.” In his spare time, Chris likes to eat good food and to laugh with family and friends. He listens to classic rock, and he is trying to learn to play chess and to exercise more. More than anything, he strives to be increasingly grateful.
