What We Are About

As you search around you may be wondering…What is St. John’s about?  This page is here to help answer some questions to give you a foundation as to what we believe.

To get a basic understanding of what our goal is, it is important to understand our mission and vision statement.  The mission and vision statements for St. John’s are:

Vision:  To Be His Light That Transforms Lives

Mission:  to join together the followers of Christ with the seekers of Christ, through the guiding Word of God, to transform ourselves and impact our world.

From here, it is important to understand what we learn from our teachings.  We as a Church under the domain of United Church of Christ believe Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Savior.  It is through his teachings that we learn how to live and how to help the community around us.  It is for this reason we try to be His Light in the community.  Our teachings provide us with the tools and resources to go out and help others.

Please note that our church is an open environment where all are welcomed to attend.  We know it can be intimidating to attend a Church because you may not understand the practices occurring or feel welcomed.  We believe that all are welcomed in our house of worship no matter who you are or what you believe.

Overall, St. John’s is all about spreading the Word and Works of the Lord to the local community and beyond.  Through our strong fellowship within the Church, we build on our works in order to make an impact on the community to help others receive the goods works of our Lord.

To learn more for yourself we invite you to attend one of our worship services held every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
