Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief

FOR THOSE WHO ARE comfortable with online giving, and who do not want to wait until August 14, here are some ways to quickly offer direct financial aid for flood victims. First go to this web address: https:// secure.kentucky.gov/FormServices/Finance/EKYFloodRelief. This will take you to the official state website for EK flood relief efforts, Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund. As you can see in this screen capture below, they have made it easy to give from $5 to $2000 with the click of a button; there is also a button to give a custom amount of support. And note the highlighted information for those who’d prefer to send a donation by postal mail.

ANOTHER WAY to give immediate flood relief assistance is through the Eastern Kentucky chapter of the American Red Cross https://www.redcross.org/local/kentucky/abouthere: us/locations/easternkentuckychapter.html ’ As you can see, there is a direct donation button on this site as well. When clicked you ll have the option of a one $1000 (as well for “ Other time or monthly gift from $75 to ” amount). On that page are also options for giving by mail, over the phone, and other giving methods too.

YET ANOTHER WAY to offer disaster relief assistance is by making and donating DISASTER RELIEF Kits UCC . The Heartland Conference of the already had a goal (prior to the recent floods) of creating and giving 2022 disaster kits for 2022. By going to the Conference site below you can see some pictures and examples, and find links for handy downloads with instructions for making several kinds of disaster kits (from Church World Service , the direct outreach and disaster relief arm of the National Council of Churches).
